crispy seasoned french fries

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ pounds firm russet potatoes, peeled & sliced into thin fries
  • 3 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried Rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions:

  1. Potato prep - Wash well, Peel (or not if you prefer to keep the skin on) and slice potatoes into thin French fries.
  2. Soak slicked potatoes in cold water for about one hour if you have the time, makes for a crispier French fry.
  3. Drain and dry your potatoes really well whether you've soaked them or not.
  4. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.  Line a cookie sheet with foil. Brush some olive oil onto the foil to keep your fries from sticking.
  5. Next, in a small bowl combine all spices until well blended.
  6. Place fries in a large food safe bag with olive oil and coat well.
  7. Add the spice mix into the bag of oiled up fries. Seal it and shake until all of the potatoes are well coated with the spice and oil mixture.
  8. Toss the potatoes onto your foil lined, oiled cookie sheet and spread into a single layer.
  9. Bake at 425 for about 30-45 minutes or until light golden brown and tender.

Serving Size: 2

Seasoned to Perfection

There is nothing like seasoned perfectly crisp, golden French fries especially when they are good for you.  Baked not fried, healthy and delicious!

French fries are a great side to so many dishes.  Burgers, steaks, and basically anything else you can throw on the barbeque.

This recipe is sure to be a favorite.
